The Wooing Tree vineyard (https://wooingtree.co.nz/ ) located in the heart of Central Otago is expanding and about to open a brand new and custom built cellar door, wine bar and restaurant located in the heart of Cromwell. 30 mins from Queenstown and Wanaka

I am looking for a Hospitality Operation Manager who will have full control over the business and report directly to the owners. This is an exciting role. Our cellar door and kitchen is expected to open by the end of August 2024.

This role will have you looking after a large team of front of house, sales and kitchen staff. The role will have you working in a hands on capacity with staff and you will be expected to lead from the front. You will need to be warm, engaging and have high EQ to lead and communicate with your team and various stakeholders.

The role will have marketing and admin support. You will have full control over the financials of the business. Experience with P&Ls and setting budgets is required. Part of the role will be sales and marketing and you will need to have experience with driving your sales team. Experience with events is also required and an avenue to build and diversify the business.

You will need to juggle and have your finger in the pulse in this role. This is a family owned business with a very high quality product and well established wine brand behind it. As such you will need to share these values of working in a family environment. Being friendly, warm, passionate as well as fair and impartial are essential. You will be asked a lot of this during the recruitment process.

You will have come from a hospitality background in a similar role. Maybe you have had experience as a restaurant manager or maitre’d with experience in the beverage industry or you have experience as a head chef along with sales and marketing experience. This role would suit someone who been in hospitality and understands business and wants to take the next step in their career.

On offer is a generous base salary along with a very generous bonus package as well. This can be discussed further with suitable candidates.
