We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to run a well established Hotel that caters to locals and tourists alike. Position is based in Te Anau, and is the gateway to Fiordlands and Milford Sounds. You will be working in a well appointed and organised kitchen with a team of up to 3 other chefs.
This is a hands on role, and will see you with your sleeves up working with your team. We don’t want ego, we want someone who leads from the front and can deliver professional leadership. This role will have you reporting directly to the GM of the hotel who is an experienced chef as well.
This is a full time and permanent role that is part of the NZ luxury Hotel network. Further details of the hotel will be provided to the right candidate.
Accommodation will be provided and there is room to progress within the role, as there are 2 hotels operated by the company in Te Anau.
You will have come from a solid restaurant and/or hotel background, and have experience with leadership, working under pressure as well as menu development, and a la carte experience. You will need to demonstrate your ability to make items from scratch. Most importantly a ‘good attitude’ is required
