This new complex offers 2 well appointed kitchens and a 80 seat restaurant as well as function centre and accommodation.
I am after an experienced head chef that knows local cuisine and is looking for the next step in their career. You will have had experience with modern NZ and pacific cuisine and know how to run a team of up to 4 chefs in a busy a la carte operation. Your role will be to design , implement and manage a menu as well as run the day to day operations of a busy kitchen.
This job is all about attitude, and you must fit into the team. You will lead from the front and mentor and nurture your team. Egos need not apply. Instead you will be assertive when required but all fair in your dealings. The word professional should come to mind. You will need to be able to work with the local community, and NZ owner to build the business
This role offers a generous package with a salary up to 72K for the right person. You will have full control of the kitchen and have experience with ordering, rosters, menu costings and development as well as supply engagement.
